CDM Co-ordinators
Cunliffes have extensive experience of working with the requirements of the Construction (Design and Management) Regulations.
The CDM Regulations place duties on not only designers and contractors but also clients. Cunliffes help ensure our clients are aware of their duties and provide assistance and guidance to enable clients to fully comply with the regulations.
Changes to the CDM Regulations were introduced on 6th April 2007 and replaced the role of Planning Supervisor with the new role of CDM Co-ordinator. The HSE website makes the following statement;
“The new, simplified CDM Regulations will revise and bring together the existing CDM 1994 and the Construction (Health Safety and Welfare) (CHSW) Regulations 1996 into a single regulatory package. They will be supported by an Approved Code of Practice (ACoP) and industry-approved guidance, to give construction and design professionals time to plan and prepare for the regulatory changes, the ACoP will be available before the Regulations come into force."
"The new CDM Regulations offer an opportunity for a step change in health and safety performance and will be used to re-emphasise the health, safety and broader business benefits of a well-managed and co-ordinated approach to the management of health and safety in construction."
Cunliffes can ensure our clients are kept up to date with their duties under the new regulations.
