Alt Valley Skills Centre - St Swithin’s Church

St Swithin’s Church in the centre of Croxteth lay in a severely dilapidated state for two years. Alt Valley Trust appointed Cunliffes in 2006 to undertake a feasibility for redevelopment of the Church into a multi-functional community training facility.

The client's brief was to create a Community Skills Centre providing work and training courses for 14-16 year olds and in turn offer them the opportunity to gain valuable experience in their chosen job or profession.

The remodelling and refurbishment project involved creating a mezzanine floor, kitchen and café facilities, lift access with teaching facilities on two floors including general seminar/classrooms and IT suites.

The completed project provides a high quality modern building facility with state of the art wireless IT installations.
